THE MYSTERY OF is an artist’s book that is an artwork in itself. The monograph showcases a lifetime of work by Montreal-based fine art photographers and filmmakers Carlos and Jason Sanchez. An intimate collaboration between the Sanchez Brothers and acclaimed members of Montreal’s book-making community, THE MYSTERY OF is designed by Feed, published by Anteism Books, and features an in-depth interview and essay by their long-time friend Adam Leith Gollner (The Paris Review, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker).

The Sanchez Brothers have honed their unrelenting vision for over 20 years by creating a diverse range of artworks as visual storytellers. THE MYSTERY OF brings readers into their punk rock beginnings as young miscreant photographers breaking into the international art scene. Exploring the artists’ journey through the prism of their friendship with the author, the text charts their transition into the world of installation art and holographic spatial technology as well as their ongoing evolution into award-winning auteur filmmakers.
